The Health Insurance Council (CHI) and the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) signed an agreement to develop supervision and accreditation mechanisms and data integration between the two parties, today, August 16, at the CHI headquarters.
The agreement signed by Dr. Shabab bin Saad Al-Ghamdi, Secretary General of the CHI, and Dr. Salem bin Abdullah Al-Wahhabi, General Manager of CBAHI, covered several aspects of joint cooperation aimed at empowering the health insurance sector, in order to provide the best services to the beneficiaries while maintaining optimal quality and efficiency, achieve the strategic objectives of the two parties and strive to improve sustainability and innovation and stimulate digital transformation.
The agreement aims to enhance operational excellence through joint cooperation in the technical and technological areas, which would contribute to smoother and speedy and accurate transactions, in addition to helping insurance companies and service providers to provide the best services using modern technological solutions.
CHI spokesperson, the Executive Director of Empowerment and Supervision, Dr. Nasser Al-Juhani, said that the agreement is part of the strategic partnerships that the CHI endeavors to conclude with the leading bodies to achieve common goals and enhance the quality and efficiency of the services provided to the beneficiaries.
He stated that the agreement between CHI and CBAHI addresses several aspects of joint cooperation with regard to the development of supervision and accreditation mechanisms and KPIs for healthcare institutions, in addition to integrated data that will be technically and technologically activated using modern solutions such as electronic connectivity to facilitate transactions according to applicable laws as well as the sharing of indicators and data to enhance flexibility, smoothness and speed of procedures.
