Data reuse policy and terms
1. The default for data is availability: The CHI ensures that their data is available to everyone by disclosing it or enabling access to it or its usage, unless its nature requires non-disclosure or protection of its privacy or confidentiality.
2. Open Format and Machine Readability: Data is available and provided in a machine readable format (XML, JSON, KLS, CSV)
3. Data Freshness: the newest version of the datasets is published.
4. Comprehensiveness: Open data collections must be comprehensive, contain as many details as possible, and reflect recorded data in a way that does not contradict the Personal Data Protection Policy.
5. Non-discrimination: Datasets shall be made available without discrimination and without the need to register on the platform.
6. Free of charge: Open data should be available free of charge.
7. Licensing Open Data in the KSA: Open data shall be subject to a license that defines the legal basis for using open data as well as terms and obligations.
8. Developing a governance model and involving everyone: open data enables the process of access and participation for all people, enhances the transparency and accountability of public entities, and supports the decision-making process and service provision.
9. Comprehensive development and innovation: The reuse of open data shall be promoted, and the various entities must integrate to prepare the next generation of innovators in the field of open data, and to involve individuals and institutions in general.
Usage instructions:
1. The CHI shall not be held responsible for any damage or loss that may be incurred by the users - whether entities or individuals - of its published data.
2. When using the data of the CHI, it must be preserved by not modifying it.
3. This data shall not be used for political or racist purposes towards a group, race, or religion, or to support any illegal activity.
